Optional “blog” functions

The “Blog” function is included with all CMS websites installed by Redback Graphics. Rather than calling it a blog, you might utilise it’s function to promote products, services and events, which in hand, will greatly increase your SEO ranking for all of the information you include in those “posts”.

By using “posts” a user can quickly promote an item, service or event, and that is automatically archived for future reference, while keeping current content fresh and updated regularly.

Website “pages” (ie Home, Project One etc) can easily be updated, but once updated the old information is lost. By using “posts”, old posts remain archived and accessible, while new posts add to the information within your website and keep it fresh and interesting.

Recipe One

Ingredients

  • 1 cup red or white quinoa
  • 3 medium tomatoes
  • 2 cups edamame beans or sweet corn kernels
  • 2 handfuls baby spinach

Herb dressing

  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1/2 cup basil or mint, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp finely crushed toasted coriander seeds
  • Salt and grinds of black pepper

Method

Toast the dry red or white quinoa in a pan until it starts to smell nutty and begins to pop (about 2-3 minutes). Place in a sieve and rinse under cold water until water runs clear. Place in a pot with 3 cups water, bring to a boil then cover and simmer until grains have become transparent, the spiral- like germ has separated and water has been absorbed (about 15 minutes). Cool.

To make Herby Dressing, shake all ingredients in a jar with salt and pepper to taste.

Core and chop the tomatoes and stir into quinoa with edamame beans or sweetcorn kernels, baby spinach and Herby Dressing.
